The Kovar Wire Solution |
| Sab 2008 Nov 14th |
The electrical and electronics industry never ceases to amaze us with useful and exciting new products that we use everyday, and an obscure manufacturing item known as Kovar wire plays an integral role in the production of many of these items. Kovar wire is a nickel-cobalt ferrous iron alloy that expands and contracts at a nearly identical rate to ceramics and glass, which makes Kovar wire the ideal material to use in conjunction with bonding or sealing ceramic or glass electrical or electronic components. Any bonding or sealing material that expands or contracts at a significantly different rate would cause the glass or ceramic material to shatter, which makes Kovar wire the ideal solution to the problem. |
